A fixed, soundboard mounted pickup sounds different because the Guitar is different . The feed-back difference is because the Guitar is different ! There are some changes to the design of the guitar that are at play here. Second is the pickup. A mini pickup can be equal to a full sized if designed properly. The characteristics you are discussing are superficial and misleading. I can build an archtop with a floating pickup that has less feedback issues than an ES 175 for example. You are a talented player but you don't know guitar design but few do.

Someone needs invent /develop an amp for jazz players that sounds almost like a vibroverb , twin or bassman but portable ie light. I just never can enjoy these amps or polytones. They both sound nasal. Nice comparison/ thank you.

bro, you ned to take some basci recording school classes. The distance from the mics makes this 'shootout' useless. Also if you did take a basic recording class you'd likely know that a mic sounds very different upside down than right-side up because of the heat from the tube.

Wowza that's a lot of fake reverb. Great-sounding mics, guitar, performances, and recordings, thanks for making the video. But I find almost an offensive to use that much reverb (hot take, I guess, but maybe traditional folksongs should sound relatively natural?) and to have to email to get the mics revealed.

I have these since 2021 & absolutely blown away at the range still. I had the Adam X’s and sold them..Just curious what distance apart do u find is the sweet spot?.. In their angled position! I have them about 1.2 meters apart (measured centre speaker cone to cone ) … about 17” inches from each side wall & 8” out from the back wall. The room is treated fairly well with super bass traps too. Tks for any help you can offer.

It's difficult to get an accurate sense of how different the guitars will sound with such different body styles. I changed the stock steel sieve coverplate on my Delphi to a nickel plated brass chickenfoot coverplate and the affect it had on the instrument's timbre was dramatic. Unless you've got the same body style, it doesn't really give an accurate portrayal of how each guitar sounds different with regards to materials. I'd love to see this redone with their wood bodied Resrocket. Regardless, nice chops dude!

I just converted my 14 inch and 16 inch hanging tom-toms to floor toms using this gear. I could not be happier! The hardware is solid, and actually, looks great, like it was supposed to be there , as if original from the factory. If you are thinking of getting this do not hesitate!

Another TOTAL WAASTE OF TIME, since there is no reveal of which mic is which. A time suck in every sense of the word!

I feel late to the show. Just ordered pair of 8351B and genelec's sub 7350A. I operate in a very small room 11 x 10 so I'm hoping GLM/SAM will help my acoustics ... primarily Keyboardist but use A LOT of very different sounds/samples.

Good playing but the sound does not do the guitar justice. Sounds a bit tinny. Listen to Julian Lage playing this model with better quality sound..

I like A for clean, B for distortion.

Low was way too low and high was too tense. I played on this snare in various tunings and it's nothing like this. You can find much better demos on YT.

The SM57 is a garbage guitar mic though.

Personally I've been using Iron Cobra's (900 power Glide) for 10 years. If you compare to the round model (rolling glide), to the Power Glide model, the last one feels a little bit "lagged". The Rolling Glide is a better pedal in all sense. Allows you to kick the drum with more control, more speed... and more pocket in a way. If i try to play too much syncopated rythms, my control with the power glide, is a little less. I have to fight a little bit more with offset cams. Round cams are for syncopated rhythms (like djent metal). But if you're playing metal double bass 16ths, or pop... the Offset cams give you more volume, in exchange of less control.
